The Scriptures
The Holy Scriptures, containing both the Old and New Testaments, are togther the written revealed Word of God... (I Thessalonians 2:13). All Scripture is inspired, or "breathed out", by God, containing His pure Words, preserved by Him throughout all time (Psalms 12:6-8; 2 Timothy 3:16). The Masoretic Text of the Old Testament and the Received Text of the New Testament (Textus Receptus) are those texts of the original languages that were the basis for our Bible today; the King James or Authorized Bible is the only English version we accept for use within our church assembly. ministries and outreach. It alone is our sole authority for faith and practice.
The Godhead
Almighty God is triune in nature, known as The Trinity, eternally existing in three persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:7).
The Person and work of the Heavenly Father
God the Father is the first person of the Trinity, eternal, unchanging, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-wise, all-loving, completely just and perfectly holy. Self-existing within His own being, He is sovereign Ruler and the Sustainer of the universe. He is the Father or our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in their unique holy and etnernal realtionship and the Father of all true children of God (Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 40: 21-28; 43:10-13; 46:8-11; John 1:12-13; 5:19-21; 71:1-5; Romans 8:14-16; Ephesians 4:6).
The Person and Work of Jesus Christ
The Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Hebrew virgin maiden, Mary, without ceasing to be God, for the purpose of revealing God the Father and redeeming mankind from sin. (Isaiah 9:6; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-2, 14; 7:14; Galatians 4:4-5; Philippians 2:5-8).
The Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His finished vicarious work on the cross as a perfect substitutionary sacrifice, through the shedding of His sinless blood; and our justification is made certain by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Romans 3:24-25; Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:3-5; 2:24).
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ returned back to Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God the Father in His glorified body, where He is our High Priest, who fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate with the Father (Acts 1:9-10; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 9:24, 7:25; I John 2:1-2).
The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is He Who reproves the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment and testifies of Jesus in this world. He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption when a soul places genuine faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (John 16:8-11; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 3:6; Ephesians 1:13-14).
Man
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam's sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from the life of God and that man, without Christ, is condemned already and spiritually dead in trepasses and sins, and, of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition (Genesis 1:26-27; John 3L18; Romans 3:22-23; Ephesians 2:1-3, 12).
The value of the human soul is evident in the sense that God created man in His own image and is mindful of him, and in that Christ died for every person; therefore every individual possesses dignity in relation to other human beings and is, therefore, worthy of mutual respect and to be shown the love of God. (Psalm 8:4-9; Colossians 3:9-11).
Satan
Satan, the Devil, was created by God as a spirit being with the name of Lucifer in heaven. Through the sin of pride, he fell from his position in heaven, convincing a third of the angels to follow him in his rebellion against God Almighty. The Bible calls these fallen angels demons. Satan and his forces seek to turn people from following God, to sin against Him and reject God's Word and His Son Jesus Christ as their only way of salvation. At the end of days Satan and his demons shall be cast into the lake of fire to be tormented forever (Job 1:6-7; Isaiah 14:12-17l; Matthew 4:2-11; 25:41; Revelation 20:10).
God's Plan of Salvation
The clear message of salvation is “repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 20:21). Salvation is "by grace" plus nothing, minus nothing. Men are justified through faith alone by the grace, or umerited kindness, of God and are accounted righteous before God only through the merits of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Those who receive God's gift of salvation are "born again" and made children of God. (John 1:12; 3:5; Romans 8:15; Ephesians 2:8-10; I Peter 1:18-19)
All of the redeemed, once saved, are kept eternally secure in Christ by God's power. Every believer has the assurance that Eternal life is their blessed present possession (John 6:37-40, 10:27-30; Romans 8:1, 38-39; I Corinthians 1:4-8; I Peter 1:4-5; Jude 1, 2).
The Church
The Church, from a Greek word meaning "called out assembly", is the spiritual body and the espoused bride of Christ, and it is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons of this present age, which began with Christ and the Apostles, was empowered through the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, and will be caught up together to be with Christ when He returns (I Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:25-27).
We believe that the establishment and continuance of local visible churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures (Acts 14:27; 20:17, 28-32; I Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11). The independence and autonomy of the local church, free of any external hierarchy or control, is clearly taught (Acts 13:1-4, 15:19-31, 20:28; Romans 16:1, 4; I Corinthians 3:9, 16, 5:4-7, 13; I Peter 5:1-4).
The Ordinances of the Church
Two essential and important ordinances were given to the churches. 1. Baptism by immersion in water, whereby the believer publically witnesses to and identifies with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as well as the new life each believer has been given by God. 2. The Lord's Supper, where the body of Christ communions together through the breaking of bread and taking of the cup in order to show the Lord's death till He returns (Matthew. 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42, 18:18; I Corinthians 11:23-26).
Biblical Separation
All of those redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ should seek to live lives that will not bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord. Through separation from all religious apostasy, not engaging in sins of the flesh and ungodly practices, we endevour to honor God (Romans 12:1, 2, 14:13; 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1; 2 Timothy 3:1-5; I John 2:15-17; 2 John 9-11).
The Return of Christ
We believe the "Blessed Hope" of our Lord's return will be literal, personal, and visible. This gathering together unto the Lord has come to be known as the Rapture, from the original word meaning to be "caught away". All believers are to be looking for and loving His return (Psalm 89:3-4; Zechariah 14:4-11; I Thessalonians 1:10; 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; Revelation 3:10; 19:11-16, 20:1-6)
Our Eternal State
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment in a place the Bible calls the lake of fire (Matthew 25:46; John 5:28, 29, 11:25-26; Revelation 20:5-6, 12-13).
We believe that the souls of the redeemed are, at death, absent from the body and present with the Lord, where in conscious bliss they await the first resurrection, when spirit, soul, and body are reunited to be glorified forever with the Lord (Luke 23:43; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23, 3:21; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:4-6).
We believe that the souls of unbelievers, those who have rejected Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, remain, after death, in conscious torment in hell until the second resurrection, when with soul and body reunited, they shall appear at the Great White Throne Judgment, and shall be cast into the Lake of Fire to suffer everlasting, conscious punishment, aware for eternity that they have rejected the God who loved them and Who offered them the Free Gift of eternal life (Luke 16:19-26; Matthew 25:41-46; II Thessalonians 1:7-9; Jude 6-7; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 20:11-15).
We encourage all reading this, if they have not done so, to place their full and complete trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to eternally save their souls.
